Join us!
Join the Dong Lab and have some fun exploring the micro-world everyday!
Currently, we are looking for talents with an open mind at all levels (undergraduates, graduates, postdoctoral fellows, and lab technicians). We welcome young scientists from all disciplines (particularly these with background in biomedical engineering, optical imaging/biophotonics, microbiology/microbiome, AI/image processing, and multi-omics), as we believe mother nature does not know the boundaries between biology, physics, chemistry, engineering, and medicine. If you are interested in our research, come and talk to us or simply email Pu-Ting (puting.dong@stonybrook.edu)!
Graduate students: Struggling to decide a research topic? We are excited to host you in our newly launched lab. Please contact Pu-Ting directly if you would like to learn more about potential research projects.
Postdoctoral fellows: Thinking about launching your career in microbiome or optical imaging or anything in between? We offer several exciting projects in a highly interdisciplinary environment that brings together microbiologists, engineers, physicists, and chemists. Interested applicants should send a brief research summary and a comprehensive CV to Pu-Ting. Reference letters are not required for initial inquiries but will be necessary (at least two) for full consideration.
Post-graduate trainees: Not sure what your next step should be? Join us to gain some hands‑on research experience and to better prepare for your next career move. Please contact Pu‑Ting with a brief description of your training background.
Undergraduate students: Ready to test your potential career interest or gain some lab experience? Come and explore our newly launched lab and we will match you with an exciting and wild project.
